We're Late! We're Late! For a Very Important Date!
Every wake up and think, crap! Where did my week go?
Well that happened to us over at 834…you may have noticed…or not (shame on you then) that we neglected to post a recap from this month’s Your Biz Your Town. Well…it’s never too late to talk about great organizations, doing phenomenal things in our community.
In no particular order…here are the guests (and the link) to last week’s #YourBizYourTown
BISSELL Pet Foundation and the Howl-O-Ween Hoof & Woof
The BISSELL Pet Foundation exists to assist animal welfare organizations. This includes helping to reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues through pet adoption, spay/neuter programs, microchipping and foster care.
They give homeless pets the chance they deserve. I don’t think it gets much more noble than that. Kudos to our fellow animal loving friends.
The BISSELL Howl-O-Ween Hoof and Woof is a fun-filled day for families and their two- and four-legged kids.* Entrance to the event is free. Games, food and activities can be enjoyed at family-friendly prices.
In the spirit of a good, old-fashioned fall carnival, you will find face painting, a cake walk, games – many of which include your dog – and prizes. You won’t want to miss a walk with your dog along the “Trick-or-Treat Trail” in your Halloween costume — fill up your candy bag and bring your pooch along to get a treat for performing his favorite trick! If your pup likes to dress up too, there will be prizes awarded for best dog costumes. There will also be an awesome raffle prize.
You’ll get hungry having this much fun! We’ll be sure to have hotdogs, popcorn, caramel corn, caramel apples, ice cream and more. YUM!
This new and incredibly important nonprofit needs the community’s support. Check out www.responsiblefathers.org and get involved!
Responsible Fathers Foundation is a facilitator of educational, guidance, and counseling services provided by a network of organizations and professionals focused to helping fathers re-engage and/or remain committed to and involved in their children’s lives.
Fathers play a significant role in raising healthy children. Today, far too many fathers choose to not participate in their children’s lives. Regardless of the reason, fathers need to realize that it’s the wrong choice. An involved responsible father is critical to the overall development and wellbeing of their children.
Responsible Fathers Foundation believes it is imperative for the well-being of children, fathers, and our communities that the increasing trend of fatherless children be stopped.
