I get it, you’re busy, and getting your business’s Facebook page up-and-running might be the last thing on your list of things to do today, but it shouldn’t be. More often than not consumers are finding businesses through their social media profiles, especially Facebook. The last thing you want is for someone’s first impression of your business to be a half ass Facebook page.

Here’s 5 quick wins for your Facebook page that you can implement today:

Optimize Your Facebook Page

You’re probably thinking, “what does optimize my Facebook page mean?” Don’t worry it’s not as complicated as it sounds. Optimizing your Facebook page is thoughtfully filling out ALL of the relevant sections on your Facebook page, such as the about section, services you offer, address, etc. Your customers may view your Facebook page before your website, and you want to make sure that customers are getting the accurate information.

Another important aspect of optimizing your page is making sure you’re taking advantage of the editing tabs option. Facebook allows you to pick and choose which of tabs you want shown on your page. Keep in mind, you should only leave the tabs that make sense for your business. For example, if you don’t sell products then you should remove the “shop” option.

Understand Your Audience

Once you have optimized your page, the next task is to make sure you understand your audience. Even if the information on your Facebook page is accurate and you post frequently, if you’re not targeting the correct audience, than this is all pointless.

Before you dive into creating content to post on your Facebook page, make sure you define audience personas. We recommend defining 3-5 personas that you think will best represent your target audience. And be specific. The more you understand your audience the better.   1. Self promotion– This one of pretty obvious. What do you sell or what services do you offer? This is where you share that information with your consumers. However, no one wants to hear you talk about yourself 24/7 hence why you need the next category as well.
  2. Industry News- As a business you want to stand out and establish yourself as a leader in the industry. Sharing industry articles from credible sources is a great way to switch up your content and to position yourself as a leader in the industry.
  3. Company News– This category is usually the most relatable to your audience, because people relate best to other people. Keep your audience informed on what’s happening in your company, share employee features, exciting news, or anything else that might be happening.

Create a Consistent, Posting Schedule

Posting on your Facebook page everyday may not fit into your schedule, and that’s ok. If that’s the case then you should look into social media management services (such as ourselves).
